I am bit worried about a friend of mine in Austin, Texas who seems to be depressed and feeling blue at this time of year. In a series of recent emails and tweets, she seemed really down about life and the current state of world affais, from terrorism to climate issues in Paris, and she sent a tweet first that read like this:

“Stay away from people who gossip and spread rumors. They are choosing the path of emotional bullying and negativity.” Steve Maraboli

Then she wrote:  "I think of narcissist people compared to those who think beyond just themselves and care about the more unfortunate and know life is a bigger and more meaningful mechanic than one’s own perceived grandiose center."

Alyssa, I am sure you are okay, and that this tweet and second note is just part of the seasonal blues a lot of feel this time of year. A new year is coming and I am sure you will recover from your current down period. If you need anything, you know where to find me. Just holler. If someone at work is bullying you, just stay away from them. Bullies are always up to no good. As for rumor mongers, ditto. And narcissists? Just far far away from them, Alysaa. 2016 will be a better year. Make plans. If the people at your job are doing this to you, change jobs.

Your pal,

Dan
